The hotel is located next to the Casino Royale on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort was inspired by Venetian architecture (hence its name) and Italian. Bridges, a replica of the tower from Venice and the channels that run gondolas were built to give tourists the impression of being in the heart of the Italian city. The property is owned by the real estate group Las Vegas Sands, the owner is the American billionaire Sheldon Adelson.

The resort has spas, swimming pools, a casino 11,000 m2, a nightclub, but also two important museums: the wax museum Madame Tussauds and the Guggenheim Las Vegas, where several paintings by world famous artists are exhibited.
